Since I had taken so many pictures at Beomeosa Temple, I will share them in separate posts. Please enjoy them leisurely. ^_^.
In this post, you’ll see the temple’s front yard.
From the bus stop, there were several steps to ascend and after that there’s the small creek with the temple name plate and a flat screen TV showing information of the area and a wooden information board with the map of the temple.
I saw there were several trees being taken care of using bottles with IV lines. It’s interesting to see how the people here took care their national treasures seriously that even the trees were not neglected.
When I almost reach the first gate, there’s a parking lot on the right side and there was a pagoda, colorful trees and a recently built hall. This is the first gate, ljumun, or according to the temple map, it’s called Jogyemun Gate.A short walk after that, there’s the second gate, Cheonwangmun Gate. Inside the gate, on each side, there were two giant statue. It’s interesting to see coins on the statues’ feet. Hemm….did people toss coins there? For offerings?
